No Tricks, Just Lots of Treats

This year for Kalli's 5th birthday, she had a Halloween party on Halloween morning. Kalli could hardly wait for her party and to get dressed up in her witch costume.

Kalli had a great turn out and tons of fun. It was a LOT of hard work though, keeping 15 kids entertained is not an easy task. I couldn't have done it without Nate's mom, Carol, and some good friends (Wendy, Kim and Julie--Thank You!)

We started at our house and then paraded over to the park close by.

We did a relay race and doughnut contest, then ended with a treasure hunt.
Here we are about to begin the treasure hunt

and they are off...

they got gold coins at each spot on the map and at the end they got a baggie with goodies

Kalli opened presents and got some great gifts. Even though this picture looks like she is upset (the make-up is a little smudged), she was very excited about the nightgowns, dolls, movies and much more that she received.

Kalli got to blow the candles out on her hand picked cupcake

then everyone dug into some pizza and cupcakes

Later that night we headed to Laguna Beach for our traditional trick or treating. We were lucky enough to have Carol come with us.

I have the cutest witch and bumblebee alive!

Kalli was a little shy and unsure at first, but she got over that quick...
Treyvan couldn't get enough of all the people, costumes, houses and decorations. It was fun to watch him in his amazement!

I saw my good friend Katrina there, as usual, dressed up as Michael Jackson. Pretty good, eh?

Afterwards, we went to the Aliso Viejo Town Center carnival. It is awesome! Kalli went on the bounce house and played games, while we got kettle corn bottled water, hot dogs and about anything else you could imagine all for free. I don't know how they do it, but it was great. Kalli and Trey went on a straw maze that they both thought was pretty fun. Kalli even did it twice.
Halloween proved to be a busy day, but it was perfect. Happy Halloween!
