Trying to Stay Busy and Cool

There are how many crabs?!

I made it! It has been one full week since Nate left. Only 5 days to go. :) We have tried to keep ourselves busy so we forget how much we miss him. Part of this busyness has included the pool and beach. They have been wonderful companions and are always a great way to relax and beat this unruly heat. Besides, it is nice not being the entertainment for a while.

Whirlwind Week

So, it has been a crazy week and a half. We have had family here visiting and well, let's just say, I haven't had much time to myself. My family is from Utah, so when they visit we do all the touristy things a.k.a. beach, shopping, more shopping, and eating out. It has been fun but it is nice to have the house back to ourselves and in some order. Of course, now it has gone from one extreme to the other. Nate went to Monterey for the next couple of weeks, which has left Kalli and I to kick it by ourselves. It is so hard being the single parent, there is no break or relief at the end of the day and believe me I need it. (Kalli will be going to bed earlier for sure :) So I am warning ya, don't be surprised when I am calling night and day to play...

Here is a little taste of what we have been up to the last few weeks:

Our new place, lovin' it!
A little colder in Monterey
Is there sand on my face?

A little pre-Halloween adventure...
Yee-hah!

Nothing like a sand bath
Just 'hangin' out....
A little fun in the sun with some fam
And a little night swimming too!

Home Sweet Home

Well, needless to say, I have been MIA lately. I have been holed up in my house trying to get things unpacked and back in order. I came back from Monterey on Monday night with Kalli and Nate just arrived tonight. It has been a long week! I was ready to hand Kalli off to Nate when he walked in the door. She drives me a little crazy somtimes, aaagh, but I still love her! So talking about crazy...my family (my bro, his wife, her bro and my sis) are coming to spend the weekend with us then my other sis and her family (a total of 5) will be coming to visit next Sun., so it will be a full house bursting at the seams! Some would say we are a little nuts, but isn't this what life is all about...I love it! Everyone coming is from Utah, so there is going to be a lot of trips to the beach and malls. It is kind of fun to do the touristy things once in a while. I love to show people around this beautiful area we are so fortunate to live in. It is so nice actually coming home to a house instead of an apt., I know it shouldn't matter but it just feels more like home (even if it isn't ours).
Oh, so Nate finally got his Design website up and running. Check it out www.stilesfischer.com I think it turned out pretty good. Cross your fingers, we hope it works out...

Rest & Relaxation

Finally, the big move is over. We were officially moved in early Wed morning (2 a.m.!) , but we didn't get much unpacking done because we left for Monterey that afternoon and here we are for the next couple days. We wanted to get away from all the craziness and sit back and relax a little....boy has it been great. I sure don't want to go back to reality though.
I would like to thank everyone who offered and did help us throughout our move. We definitely felt the love. :) It is nice to know that we have found good friends, which is important especially when there is no family close by. I hope we can get the house in order soon and then we will get that bbq in the works! See ya all when we get back...
p.s. I will get some more pictures on as soon as I find the cord to upload from the camera, which could take a while, hmmmm
