Family Night at Boomers

For family night, we thought we would try out Boomers. We did a little mini golf,

a couple arcade games,

a little hanging around and

Kalli got to drive her first car

It was a good time, we might even do it again sometime :)

Thirsty Anyone?

Kalli and Tess have wanted to do a lemonade stand all summer. Nate put his handy skills to work and built this from scratch.

Pretty darn cute. The girls had a great time!

Many friends and neighbors stopped by for an ice cold drink.

$46 in just about 3 hours, not bad. Kalli and Tess split their money and set aside their tithing (for the first time), then they got to pick something out at the store with their hard earned money. So much fun, they can't wait for the next hot Saturday!

Movie Night

Kalli was invited to a pizza party and movie night with some of her friends.
She had so much fun being a big girl.

She can't wait for the next one!

Guess What?!

Yep, that is Baby Fischer #3 and it is a BOY! We are just as surprised as you, believe me! This little guy is scheduled to arrive February 9th.
Wish us luck! ;)

Church History Here We Come

I have always wanted to see the church history sites and so I was excited when I found out we were going with Larry and Annie to do just that.

Trey stayed behind with Johnny and Carol and Aunt Pat came to help out as well. We knew he would have a great time.

Kalli got to go with us and she was SO excited. She couldn't stop talking, literally :)

We went to Liberty Jail

Adam Ondi Ahman - Beautiful and peaceful

We stayed in a little Amish town along the way

We got there on a Sunday so everything was closed. It would have been fun to see more of the people and shops, maybe next time...

These lily pads were growing on the Mississippi River.

We went to Nauvoo and toured a lot of the old shops. This was the blacksmith. Kalli got to try it out

An old church/meeting house

Kalli made us some rope
Later on we went for a little country drive and look where we ended up

The Nauvoo temple is beautiful! We got to stay in a historic hotel about 2 blocks away from it
Joseph Smith and Emma's house
A few important gravesites

One of Kalli's favorite parts of the trip were all the little treats along the way, no surprise there :)

Carthage Jail - bullet hole still there and you can see where the door is busted from the mob

The window Joseph Smith fell out of

Outside of the window - this jail was my favorite spot we visited on the trip.

Temple of the Reorganized Church in Independence, MO - we took a tour, very interesting to say the least...but we did get to see some of Emma Smith's things in their museum

The last place we stayed was crazy! It had so much nonsense, random stuff in it you couldn't believe it. It was cluttered inside and out. A picture doesn't do it justice :)
Kalli had so much fun, especially spending time with Grandpa Larry

Trey did great while we were gone and had a pretty good time himself.
We all had so much fun! Thank you Larry and Carol for making it happen for us :)
