Our Wilderness Expedition

Before Nate took off to Monterey for 2 weeks, we wanted to do something fun as a family. We haven't been to the Laguna Canyon Wilderness Park in a while, so we packed our bags and went.

Kalli had her 'treasure bag' ready to be filled and Treyvan was excited just to be out.

Our first find was this little cave - the kids couldn't have been more excited

We found another cave, but this one was a little bit harder to get to.

Of course, we had to see why this was closed

Kalli was stoked to find this 'watermelon' since that is her favorite fruit. (It ended up being a pumpkin).

We found one more cave before we headed home. The kids were just as excited about it as the first one.

I think we wore them out. Perfect ending.

My Little Helpers

As much as I hate pushing these cumbersome carts around...I love seeing these smiling faces. Don't you?

Princess in the Making

What do you get with a little colored paper, markers, tin foil and some of dad's creativity?

A beautiful princess crown!

This princess couldn't be happier!

A Scary Experience

While meandering through Lowe's we came across this skeleton that talks and lights up. Treyvan wasn't sure at first what he thought, but as you can see, he made his decision quickly

He still has it in his line of sight and not very happy about it

So we went to a happier place afterwards...Petsmart

Kalli and Trey were both fascinated with the birds

At least we ended our night on a happy note. Halloween will definitely be interesting this year!

Our Pools Days are Numbered

We are making the most out of our last month before the heat is turned off at our pool. Of course, there is always the hot tub, but you can't do this stuff in there...

I have to show off a little too

Playing in the Dirt

Does it ever get old?

Apparently not. This is a different day, but same pot, same dirt, same dirty face

Still so loveable!

First Day of Preschool

Kalli was excited to FINALLY go to preschool this morning. She has been looking forward to this day all year long.

We are in a co-op with a couple other moms in our stake. We have a curriculum we follow and every 3rd week I teach. It should be fun :)

Kalli had a great time and couldn't wait to show me what she did at school. We are both looking forward to what lies ahead!

One Last Celebration

We had a little poolside BBQ for Treyvan's birthday this afternoon. Just a few friends came and we swam, ate food and sang Happy Birthday.

Kalli helped me decorate the cupcakes and cake - don't they look yummy?
All the kids gathered around, trying to help Treyvan blow out the candles

Treyvan wasn't too sure if he like the frosting or cake, but he LOVED the candles

What Do Ya Think?

Treyvan got his first haircut, courtesy of Nate. His hair was getting a little too flighty in the back, so dad gave him a trim.

Treyvan did pretty good, but his head kept whipping around to see what was attacking him
Such a big boy! The hair that came off was like fur. Hopefully now, he can get some real thicker hair in :)

Treyvan likes the new do and he will tell you all about it :)
