The Funny Bone Tickler

Sick!
Nate's sister, Laura, gave him this card for his birthday a month ago and I just can't bring myself to throw it away. Every time I look at it a big grin spreads across my face. In fact, I am smiling right now as I write this. I hope you 'enjoy' it as much as I have. (Thanks for the laughs Laura.)

Nate and his design partner were chosen to be in this month's issue of Riveria Interiors. I am so proud and can't wait to see what the future holds. Congrats Nate!

My New BFF

We have been inseperable since our first encounter about a week ago. I have visited this good friend of mine just about every day of the week. This relationship is not a healthy one (some might argue there are some healthy aspects to it though). I would love to introduce anyone to my new BFF, anytime, just tell me when and I will be there!

Car Wash Anyone?

Nate and Kalli gave our car a much needed wash a few days ago. Kalli did a great job of getting the car and Nate wet. As you can see, sometimes the nozzle shot in the opposite direction of where she was looking. Oh well, what's the point of washing your car if you don't expect to get wet!

Fun in the Sun with the Cousins

We hit the beach again on Saturday with Nate's cousins. As you can see, we had lots of fun and topped the day off with some good ol' BJ's Pizza and gelato in Laguna. Mmmm...so good!

Happy Mom's Day!

I must admit, I didn't know if Nate would pull through this year for Mother's Day. There was no indication that he recognized that MY day was coming up. So I began to have my doubts, but I thought I might wait it out and see what happens. Well, as you can see, I never should have doubted him...
Kalli brought me this bag of my favorite treats and a little letter with a hand painted heart on it, while I was in bed this morning. While I was getting breakfast, Nate pulled these out and gave them to me. Yep, there are 12, go ahead and count them :) And in case you are wondering, that is one in a cup-there was a mishap in the car, or so I was told.
Then, Nate said he was going to make me a Thai dinner. My favorite! I couldn't wait until dinner, so we had it for lunch. This is Pad Thai from scratch! Kalli brought this home from Primary. Isn't it sweet? I love the part where it says I am the best at 'cooking.' Seriously, we all know someone had to be coaching her...
This I actually got on Friday when I picked Kalli up from day care. I thought it was so sweet. She keeps telling me Happy Birthday instead of Mother's Day. I will take anything, but by the end of the day, she got it right.
This was a great Mother's Day. I am so lucky to have a wonderful daughter and husband who love me so much. Thank you over and over, I really did feel special today!

All the Pretty Princesses

Every time Kalli, Tess and Anna get together for playgroup, they immediately change into their princess dresses. Kalli is always Cinderella, Tess is Sleeping Beauty and Anna is Snow White. So we though it would be fun to get some pictures taken of these pretty princesses. The girls had a great time strutting their stuff and we had a great time watching. Aren't they beautiful?!

How precious!

E.T. - Don't Phone Home

This is Kalli's newest fear. Nate turned on tv and the part where ET was laying on the bank of the river came on. Kalli covered her face and said she didn't like it and it scared her. Ever since, Nate had tried to show her other clips or draw pictures of ET and she either cries or pushes it away. She now is scared of monsters and aliens and wants a night light on when she goes to bed. Look what ET has started, I thought it was a family friendly show. Oh, the damage he has done...will Kalli ever recover??? :)

To Camp Or Not To Camp...

Before we moved to California, we used to be avid campers and when I say camping, I mean, throw up a tent and make sure that when you wipe it isn't with a poison ivy leaf. So when we moved here, we were disappointed that a "good" camping spot involved toilets that flush and neighbors 5 feet from your tent door. We didn't like the idea at first, but now 2 yrs later, we have grown accustomed to the idea and decided to try it out. Nate's family came to visit, so we packed our bags and headed for the beach. We stayed at Doheny and I must say the spot wasn't fabulous, but who cares when the beach is a 30 sec walk away! We had a great time, Kalli loved every moment (she had been talking about 'campin' for a month). I think we have decided camping is camping and we are always up for a good trip no matter where we post up. If anyone is looking for someone to roast some marshmallows and tell ghost stories with, give us a call!

Who Needs Water?

We were getting ready to head to the pool, but Kalli couldn't wait to enjoy the sun. Water or not, she was ready for some fun!
