Hallo-week of Fun

We started off the Halloween festivities with the Pumpkin Patch. That's the place you go to pick out your pumpkin and get ripped off on rides (4 bucks a ride!) I had to let Kalli go on at least one though :)

We saw a few friends there as well - a great family night activity.

Next on the schedule was a ward Trunk or Treat Party.
Kalli was a beautiful ballerina
Fancy Nancy (Tess) and Kalli did the cake walk and many other games. They had a great time. Afterward, Nate and I had a Halloween Party to attend and this is what we went as...
80's prom queen and Nate...
a silver man 'statue'
The party was fun and there were some great costumes. The Forests came as Paper Dolls - so creative!
Last, but definitely not least, was the big night - Halloween. We went with the Forests to Oak Street in Laguna Beach. The neighborhood is so festive and every house is decorated with Halloween gear; we loved it.
the cuddly Bear and Blue-eyed Ballerina

I ran into Katrina and Noel at one of the houses in their awesome vampire costumes
So, you would think the night was over when we left Laguna, but no, we had one more place to hit. There was a free carnival at the Aliso Viejo Town Center that we wanted to check out. We met the Savages there and let the kids go on a couple FREE rides. It was fun and a great way to end the night.

Kalli didn't quite know what to think of the swings

A pirate, ballerina and 2 princesses-quite the group :)
Whew! What a week!

Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to You...

Where would any kid want to go for their birthday - of course, Chuck E Cheese. So for Kalli's special day we let her loose on the rides with a cup full of tokens.

Even Nate had to get in on the action
And with ALL those tickets, she got a sticky hand and a Tinkerbell stamp
Then we went to one of Kalli's favorite restaurants - McDonald's. She got a Happy Meal with chicken nuggets and an ice cream cone. As you can see, dessert was eaten first, but thats ok when it's your birthday :)
We opened a few presents when we got home and this was the hit. A Princess chair with all the fixins (necklace, rings, mirror, and even makes a princess song when you sit down). Kalli was in heaven :)
Happy Birthday Kalli! Here are some special things about you:

The Great Pajama Party

This year Kalli had a pajama birthday party. Everyone had to come in their pj's. As you can see, we had quite the adorable crew

We played pin the tail on the donkey

Kylie Ferguson got the closest and won the prize

Next, the hunt was on for buried treasure - Nate hid 100 gold coins in our yard and for each 5 found, they got to pick a treat from the bowl. The kids LOVED it!

Then we had to decorate our treasure chests for all the treasure they found

What's a pajama party without pizza...

Presents next

Lots of Princess gear - Kalli's favorite!

What Kalli would look like with a mustache

Check out the loot - Kalli has some pretty great friends

Now the birthday cake (of course, all the princesses on it)

Everyone chowing down on the cupcakes

Last, but not least, deorating the sugar cookies.

The party was a success - no crying and lots of smiles!
Thanks Julie for taking care of Treyvan, so I could take care of the rest

And of course, thanks to Jess for being our photographer - I wouldn't have anything to show if it weren't for her :)

Partying it Up With the Family

While in Monterey, Kalli's grandma and grandpa threw her a pre-birthday party. She was very excited and requested a cake with rainbow sprinkles in it. She loved being the center of attention and was very spoiled.

(Notice the princesses - of course)

A princess tiara and jewelry set - Grandma Beth knows her well

Thanks everyone for being part of her special day!
