Preschool Dayz

Today we talked about transportation, focusing on trains. We had an extra small group today, just Maddie and Kalli, but we still had lots of fun. Look at these trains we made out of egg cartons and gumball wheels. Wow, I am amazed with my creativity sometimes :)

Experiencing the Rainforest

We've never taken the kids to Rainforest Cafe, so we thought it would be fun to go to dinner there before Nate went to Monterey for a few days.

Treyvan was in awe, taking it all in. Kalli thought is was pretty cool to sit next to the water fountain and to have thunder and lightning while we were eating.

Trey did great until he spotted the gorilla to our far left. He started crying and wanted me to hold him. Once he settled down, Nate wanted to show him the large elephant - he wasn't sure what to think about that either.

Next, we did a little window shopping at South Coast Plaza, since I usually don't shop at Prada, Louis Vuitton, Armani, etc. It did make us wonder how these places stay in business, there was no one in them! Anyway, we crossed the bridge to one of my favorite stores, H&M (much more in my price range :) then called it a night.

A Sunday Stroll

It started to rain a little while we were there. It is the first of the big rainy, stormy week that lies ahead. Yay! I LOVE the rain!

Farewell Disneyland

With Kalli starting Kindergarten this year, we have decided to take a break, so goodbye D-land, you have treated us well over the past 3 years.
Jenny and Mack met us there and we let Kalli be our guide. We visited Small World, Dumbo, Teacups, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear and of course the carousel.
Treyvan wasn't sure if he liked it

One last picture in front of the castle (Jenny insisted on taking the picture and not being in it)
Ciao to "The Happiest Place on Earth" - for now :)
