The Big Utah Trip - Family, Friends and a Wedding, Oh My!

I was lucky enough to go to Utah for 2 weeks to visit with family and be part of my little sister's wedding. I brought Kalli and Treyvan, then Nate met up with us a week later. Treyvan got to go on his first plane ride

He was pretty stoked
Bright and early - 6 am! (Seriously, look at that bird mouth, always open!)

Treyvan was so happy to see and step all over grandpa

Myself, Cristin and Mandy threw Jill a bridal shower. We had so much fun! Here is Jill eating a bubble gum for every question she got wrong about Nick (to the right).
Look at those chipmunk cheeks - she got about half of the questions wrong :)

Jill got lots of good stuff, you can't go wrong when you are in need of everything!

Next on the agenda, we went to Oneida to ride tubes down the river, but since the rain wouldn't give us a break and it was a bit chilly, we settled for a weenie roast and some treats.
Treyvan LOVED being outside
Owen always has a smile on his face!
Treyvan seemed to take a liking to his soon to be uncle, Nick
Owen is just 3 weeks older than Treyvan; what a cutie and a mover!
The crew
There is a place in Ogden called TreeHouse that my cousin Jami thought would be fun to take the kids to. They had so much fun banging on the drums...
playing in the doll house...
being firemen...
dressing up as princesses and so much more!
Treyvan loved hitchin a ride with Riley
It was a fun bunch and they all got along so well. We'll have to make sure we do this stuff more often with all the cousins!
Of course, one of the main reasons we went to Utah was for Jill and Nick's wedding. It was beautiful and Jill looked gorgeous! Her photographer did an awesome job, here are a few of my favorites
The fam back together again
The original 4 - Mark, Mandy, Jill and me
Jill and her beautiful nieces
Kalli LOVED her "princess" dress and tiara. She danced around all night. She loves how it twirls so high around her
So sweet - adorable flower girls and handsome little men
Of course, we had to get a formal family pic
The happy couple - we had our 8 YEAR anniversary while we were in Utah. Happy Anniverary to us!
My big little man
My favorite little princess
Kalli is always such a big helper, whether Treyvan wants it or not...
On our next to last night in Utah we had a BBQ with a bunch of the family and then had a firework show. The kids had so much fun playing Red Rover, jumping on the trampoline and literally running around the house (Kalli did the most at 19 times - maybe we should put her in track). Here Kalli is getting sprayed down with mesquito spray since Benson (the town where I am actually from, not Logan) is known for those pesky skeeters.
Kalli was a little unsure about those sparklers so close to her fingers.
On our last day, we went to see Grandma Brown. I used to catch penny bugs at her house in the canal and then put them under a rock. The next day there were actual pennies under the rocks. Magic. I loved going to grandma's house, it was always an adventure. Looks like Treyvan liked it too.

One final hug good-bye
Until next time...

Happy Fathers Day!

I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband who can be just as big of a kid as our kids...
and that it what they love!
I am also so grateful to have a wonderful dad of my own. It is nice knowing I can call at any time about anything and he will be there with an open ear! I love you dad!

The Sad Day Has Arrived

Jess and Miah are moving and we wanted to have one last get together before they leave us. We met up at Salt Creek and enjoyed them one last time (until they come back...)

Nate and Miah contemplating life
Jess and Capri - she is going to be so different the next time I see her :(

Nate always like to leave a little bit of himself when helping taking pics
Jenn striking a pose for the camera

Treyvan is just happy to be there
Is Treyvan really only 6 1/2 mos older than Davis - he dwarfs that little guy!

Such a mama's boy

We will MISS you guys! Love you forever!!

9 Months - What?!

Height: 29 3/4 - over 100%
Weight: 22lbs 12 oz - 90%
Head: 47 cm - 80%
I can't believe he is already 9 mos old. This little rascal is so sweet and so stubborn at the same time. He loves to be held still, but he is figuring out the world around him in so many ways. He can pull himself up and loves to stand, but he still won't crawl. I guess he wants to be like his big sis and skip the crawling stage. His naps are still random, with one being between 30-60 min and the other pretty close to the same. I will rarely get an hour and a half out of this guy. (He does go to sleep around 6:30-7 pm though and sleeps until about 4-5am, then up for the day at 7am - not bad). Lots of babble, but no 'mama' or 'dada' yet. He loves food - rice or oatmeal cereal mixed with baby food - but loves to eat anything you have on your plate as well. I look forward to the months ahead. I love you big little man!
