Kind of fun seeing who we look like, especially Kalli - I guess it answers the "who does she look like most" question :)

Kalli's First Day of Gymnastics
Kalli started gymnastics a couple weeks ago. She loves being a "big" girl and doing it by herself. It's fun to see her in action, it brings back memories from the good old days. I wanted to get suited up myself. Of course I resisted the urge, that would have been quite a sight :)

Back to Reality

Finally, I decided it was time to find out for myself what the fuss was all about with the Twilight book series. I was skeptical at first, I am not much of a vampire/fantasy book type of person, but it has such rave reviews from so many friends that I couldn't resist. Now a week later, with all 3 books under my belt, I can say that I yearn for more. I loved them! Each book became an obsession, staying up until 3 or 4 in the morning, I couldn't get enough. All I could think about when I wasn't reading was when I could squeeze in some time to read again. I was so pathetic. My house went to shambles and I knew that I had to get through those books in order to get my life back in order. I made it through, but now in order to feed my hunger, I go to Stephenie Meyer's website searching for any new nuggets of info. I can hardly wait until her next book comes out next Fall. Since Nate has been gone (yep, again - another 2 weeks) I have had a lot of time on my hands and those books were great fillers. Life is going to be so dull without my new found friends, Edward and Bella :) I guess I will have to find another book to feed my new fetish, any suggestions?

What Breakfast Are You
| You Are Cereal |
![]() Playful and lighthearted, breakfast is likely your favorite meal of the day. (In fact, you're probably the type who sneaks cereal as a midnight snack.) Your culinary skills are probably a bit lacking... and you are a sucker for junk food. Some people accuse you of eating like a kid, but you prefer to think of yourself as low maintenance. |
I absolutely love cereal. This is soooo true...crazy!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!
Ooooooh...that feels gooooood!
Mmmm... bring it on!
It had come time for Kalli and I to have a fun day out, just the 2 of us! In spite of the heat, I was determined to do something that Kalli would love. I asked her if she wanted to go to the pool, beach, or fountains at the Spectrum. It would be interesting to see what she would say, since she loves all 3. I was sure she would go for the beach, but enthusiastically and without any hesitation, she yelled "Fountains!" So after her nap, off we went. Kalli was so excited and couldn't wait to "jump" in. It was still 180 degrees outside (not really, it just felt like it) so I sat in the shade and watched her play. Now, there was one bigger girl there, about 5-6 yrs old, who had nothing on but her underwear. I do understand that kids and water always seem to mix, but I don't understand a mom letting her kindergartner run around in public with nothing but her undies on. Just as I was getting "use" to this idea, I looked up and this girl was now in her birthday suit! Mind you, there all ages and genders hanging out by the fountain. There was a bit of tension in the air as this girl hunched over the fountain, butt naked! Her mom just laughed. Finally, she got her underwear back on. I was in complete amazement, but maybe I am just old fashioned. What do ya do?! Kalli played a little while longer and then she told me she was hungry and ready to go. I wanted something as well and I wanted something good, so we we went to P.F. Chang's. Mmmmm... Afterward, we did a little shopping and I promised Kalli a cookie because she was so good and I wanted to get her a little treat for our special day. Finally, we hopped in our car and headed back. We had a great afternoon and by the time we got home it was bedtime. Perfect! All I have to say...it’s great being a mom!
